It’s a wrap for the 2023-24 season!

We were blessed with five visiting vets plus Dr. Uriel Valdez from Santa Rosalia. Due to their hard work along with our regular crew of volunteers, we accomplished a lot for the health of our beloved animal population as follows:
Total visits 1416 (75% nationals)
Total spay/neuters 464 (283 female, 181 male)
Distemper/Parvovirus vaccines 395
Rabies vaccines 433
FVRCE (cat) vaccines 197

Sterilization campaign March 2024

The March 12th to 18th sterilization campaign led by Dr. Jen Stonequist, assisted by our faithful regular volunteers, resulted in 78 total pets (45 female cats/dogs spayed, and 33 male cats/ dogs neutered). Additionally, 5 emergency surgeries were done and 71 total vaccines were administered, whew, great work team!!

This is Dr Jenn (left). & Sofie, on (right); here over her spring break from college. Her dreams include veterinary medicine & has been working at a vet clinic in Washington. She is learning lots with Dr Jenn as well! Thank you Sofie for your interest & time with PAW!

Friday March 15th was the fourth of our 5 day campaign with the amazing Dr. Jenn from Silverdale Washington.. This is her 8th visit with us!. She is dedicated, prompt, secure, compassionate and always with a smile and a laugh. THANK YOU JENN!

ATV Poker Run to Support PAW

ATV ride (not race!) “Poker Run” to support PAWS, ~ 2½ hrs, 5 card stations, great prizes for best 3 hands and worst! Luck of the draw, no need to know how to play!

Friday March 8th, 10:00 to 10:30 start

Starts: 2 miles east of Palo Verde on main road towards Punta Chivato, beautiful beaches with drinks for sale (proceeds to PAWS) at three hand stops. Digital route available.

Ends:   Hotelito in Punta Chivato, prizes awarded, beverages and lunch for sale

Cost: 300p per hand (200p to pets, 100p towards prizes, multiple hands permitted, but cannot be combined)

Spay Campaign Jan 2024

During our recent campaign (Jan 26 to Feb 2, 2024) with Dr. Mike Martin leading our dedicated team of volunteers, we spayed a total of 61 pets! Of these, 38 were dogs (half each male and female) and 23 cats (17 female and 6 male). Additionally, several other surgeries were performed.

Thank you everyone who participated and made the important decision to spay your pet! This will improve their lives, and prevent untold suffering for unwanted puppies and kittens.

Help pets stay warm

Our pets get cold just like we do, remember PAW has a good supply of coats for dogs of all sizes! We also have cozy small to medium dog beds and other accessories. All at reasonable prices!
